| Here
is a shot of my new bird room. I built it in the garage which is where my birds
have been housed for 2+ years. This room will really help keep the dust down. |
Here is
another view from the right this time. Notice the shelves where I keep most of
my supplies. | A
similar shot just with the door open this time. |

| This
is a shot of my wall of breeder cages on the left side of the room. | The
right side of the room has two larger flight cages. This is one that will soon
hold 4 Valencian Figurita pigeons that are coming in from Minnesota. |

The
room gets electricity for the lighting from an outlet just outside. Notice the
timer that turns the lights on at 6 a.m. and off at 10 p.m. | This
is a shot of the full-spectrum lights as as you look into the room. Notice the
main garage light fixture that I decided to "build around" until I get
the gumption to move it. | This
is the other full-spectrum fixture that is above the door. |

There
are also two full-spectrum fixtures behind each stack of breeding cages. | This
is the other one. | These
are the feed bins where I keep the seed. The top one has a mix for the ringnecks
and the bottom one has a mix for the diamond doves. |

This
bin is filled with fortified grit that is made up of limestone, oyster shell and
charcoal. It is also coated with vitamins. | I
am proud of how I was able to attach these large automatic waterers to the flight
cages so I am showing them here. | A
closeup of my shelves just outside the room. You can see how I store water and
use a pitcher when taking care of the birds. Nice action shot of the water huh? |
