Dovepage.com has been online since 1996 and was created to support and celebrate the hobby of keeping and raising doves at every scale. There are many keepers of doves who maintain significant captive populations of various dove species and there are even more who maintain only a few birds for personal enjoyment. Dovepage.com is owned by Wade Oliver of Newport News, Virginia who is the author of "Ringneck Doves: A Handbook of Care and Breeding," and has been raising doves as a hobby since the early 1990's. Wade works at Christopher Newport University as the Director of Academic Advising and has been employed in Higher Education professionally since 1995.
